Cold Feet Fever’s first review is 5-Stars.
★★★★★ Cold Feet Fever follows Katerina (Katie) DeLuca and Sam Jackson, as they work together towards the grand opening of Atlantic City’s newest nightclub, which was a former fetish club called Kinki. This is a fun ride that includes romance, toe curling ‘sexy’ scenes, a wacky grandfather who has a knack for getting himself into trouble, mob ties, murders, a dog with a sensitive stomach, and so much more. So. Much. More. To call Cold Feet Fever a page turner is a disservice. This is a page devourer (I Googled that one, and it is, apparently, a word). I couldn’t read it fast enough. When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about the book and the characters and what happened next. Even when doing VERY important things that deserved 100% of my attention (apologies to my husband….).
Maureen Fisher did a phenomenal job of creating characters you couldn’t help but love. Even the bumbling gangsters. On more than one occasion, I clapped my hand over my mouth to stifle the laughter at the antics of Rex the dog, such as when he had consumed countless spicy sausages, which effectively broke up a very poignant dramatic moment in the book, and in a way that a pet owner would appreciate. I didn’t want this book to end. But when it did, I was still smiling. I’m thinking of it right now and am grinning. I highly recommend Cold Feet Fever as one of the most fun reads you will enjoy all year. This is part 2 of a series, so I’m on my way to get part 1 to see if there are any more for me to read.
