Please help me welcome the talented romance author, Xunaira J! She has answered some interview questions about her writing, and would like to share them with you.

What are you working on?
I’m currently working on After Time, the second installment of The Time Series. This story covers the journey of Onaiza and Asher as they meet again online and their budding romance blooms. Secondly, I’m also working on a New Adult Romance novel, which is unlike The Time Series, whose name is not disclosed yet.
What inspired you to write your first book?
I find the literary world to be full of romances where the hero and heroine are together. There is chemistry between them. My story was different in this regard. My protagonists met online through chatting software. Whatever feelings they developed, it was through there. My inspiration was mIRC, the chatting software that is famous in my part of the world. Inspiration struck and I decided to write a story that took place using that particular software.
What books have most influenced your life most and which writer would you consider a mentor?
As a child, Charles Dickens was my favorite author especially David Copperfield. I read that novel a thousand times. Later on, Jane Eyre became another of my favorite classic romances, but my all-time favorite author is Judith McNaught. Her works have influenced my writing. My favorite novel from her collection is Whitney, My Love.
What song best describes the feeling of a book you’ve written? Why?
Somebody’s Me by Enrique Iglesias best describes Before Time as it was one of the most repeated tracks I listened to while writing my novel. This song is also important to both protagonists, Onaiza and Asher, and is the title track for my novel.
