Important Life Lesson

So yesterday evening, I played bridge at a friend’s house, a good 45-minute drive away in the rain. We broke up around 11:15, I collected my purse and coat, grabbed my keys from my pocket, and made the rainy drive home. As I rolled into the garage, my husband greeted me at the door.

Himself: You took the wrong purse. Donna can’t get home. Her keys are in the purse you took and when she tried calling you, your purse rang.
Me (wailing): Dammit. I’m too tired to drive both ways again.
Himself: I’ll drive.

He’s the best. We arrived home around 1:00 a.m.

IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON: Keep keys in purse, cell phone in pocket.
