A soft breeze infused with elusive sweetness refreshed her fiery cheeks. She unclipped her hair and let the wind blow the strands away from her face. “That’s quite a view,” she said dreamily, putting a safe distance between herself and the man who threatened her peace of mind.
“Oh, aye. It certainly is.”
The quiet voice, unexpectedly close, made her jump. Dark eyes danced a world of approval that had nothing to do with purple mountains and aquamarine lagoons.
